Georgia High School Basketball - Oglethorpe County toppled by Rabun County
January 17, 2025: Tiger, GA 30576 Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), 55-37 in a league match.
With the victory, Rabun County advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Elbert County (Elberton, GA) to face the Blue Devils in a A D1 Region 8 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 17-1. Elbert County won 55-44 in their recent non-league match against Warren County (Warrenton, GA)
The Patriots now own a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Providence Christian Academy for a A D1 Region 8 match on Tuesday, January 21. Oglethorpe County will face a Storm squad coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Blessed Trinity (Roswell, GA). The Storm record now stands at 10-8.
