West Virginia High School Basketball - Pocahontas County succumbs to Summers County

January 17, 2025: Dunmore, WV 2493

The Summers County Bobcats defeated the host Pocahontas County Warriors basketball squad by a final score of 56-41 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Bobcats clash with the WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV) in a Coalfield AA outing, on Monday, January 20. Summers County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Renegades come into the outing with a 3-7 record after their 59-32 league loss to James Monroe (Lindside, WV).

The Warriors (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Patriots come into the non-league outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Midland Trail overcame Clay County (Clay, WV), 49-31, in a non-league outing.
