West Virginia High School Basketball - Pocahontas County overwhelms Midland Trail

February 15, 2025: Dunmore, WV 2493

The Pocahontas County Warriors basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Midland Trail Patriots to 34 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Warriors now have a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Webster County for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. Pocahontas County will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 34-28 non-league loss to Wahama (Mason, WV). The Highlanders record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Midland Trail falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Patriots host Clay County (Clay, WV) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 0-16.
