West Virginia High School Basketball - Tug Valley can't hold off Summers County
December 20, 2024: Hinton, WV 25951 Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV), 48-46 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Summers County advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Summit Christian Academy (Princeton, WV) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 5-2. Summit Christian Academy won 59-50 in their recent non-league match against Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV)
The Panthers now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelby Valley for a non-league match on Monday, December 23. Tug Valley will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 68-48 non-league loss to Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-3.
