The Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) basketball crushed the visiting Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), 69-38 in Friday's league bout.

The Miners now possess a 12-8 record. They play next when they host Belfry for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 18. Mingo Central will play a Pirates team coming off a 45-26 league loss to Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Summers County falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV) to play the Cavaliers in a Coalfield A bout on Wednesday, February 19. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 8-8.
