January 17, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28269 The Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) basketball edged the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 43-42 in Friday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Christ School for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. Chambers will play a Greenies team coming off a 60-57 league win over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA). The Greenies record now stands at 6-0.
With the loss, Mallard Creek falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Davidson Day (Davidson, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Davidson Day won 52-43 in their recent non-league bout against Combine Academy Regional (Lincolnton, NC)
