The Anoka Tornadoes basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Coon Rapids Cardinals to 56 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Andover for a AAAA Section 7 contest on Friday, January 21. Anoka will meet a Huskies team coming off a 51-46 non-league win over Champlin Park (Champlin, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 8-6.

The Cardinals (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Blaine (Blaine, MN). The Bengals enter the AAAA Section 7 contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Blaine was nudged by Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN), 65-54, in a non-league contest.
