McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Guyer Wildcats (Denton, TX), 45-41 in a league bout.

With the win, McKinney upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Lions host Prosper (Prosper, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 25. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 14-11.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Prosper Eagles (Prosper, TX) in a 6A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, January 21. Guyer will attempt to upgrade on its 9-18 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 14-11 record after their 65-57 league loss to Little Elm (Little Elm, TX).
