California High School Basketball - Mount Miguel trounces Helix

January 18, 2022: La Mesa, CA 91941

The Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) basketball crushed the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA), 73-40 in Tuesday's league test.

The Matadors (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Foothillers go into the Grossmont - Hills test with a 10-1 record. In their last bout, Grossmont overwhelmed Academy of Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA), 61-38, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Highlanders clash with the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills bout, on Thursday, January 20. Helix will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Vaqueros go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 46-31 non-league loss to Morse (San Diego, CA).
