Ridgecroft Rams (Ahoskie, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Halifax Academy Vikings (Roanoke Rapids, NC), 61-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ridgecroft upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Rams travel to Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC) to play the Warriors in a NCISAA Tarheel bout on Friday, January 20. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Lawrence Academy won 67-10 in their recent league bout against Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans (Henderson, NC) in a NCISAA Carolina Independent bout, on Friday, January 20. Halifax Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Crossroads Christian (Henderson, NC).
