New York High School Basketball - Smithtown Christian holds off Southold
January 18, 2023: Smithtown, NY 11787 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Smithtown Christian Knights (Smithtown, NY) and the visiting Southold Settlers (Southold, NY), saw Smithtown Christian's basketball squad hold off Southold by a tally of 56-49.
With the victory, Smithtown Christian improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Greenport (Greenport, NY) to confront the Porters in a Section 11 B/C/D-5 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Porters come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Greenport lost 46-39 in their recent league challenge against Southold (Southold, NY)
Next up, the Settlers confront the Babylon Panthers (Babylon, NY) in a Section 11 B/C/D-5 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Southold will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 53-42 league win over Mattituck (Mattituck, NY).
