New York High School Basketball - Port Jefferson fells Southold
December 9, 2022: Southold, NY 11971 Port Jefferson Royals (Port Jefferson, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Southold Settlers (Southold, NY), 50-36 in a league bout.
With the win, Port Jefferson upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Royals travel to Shelter Island (Shelter Island, NY) to play the Islanders in a Section 11 B/C/D-5 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Islanders go into the bout with a record of 0-1.
Next up, the Settlers play the Pierson Whalers (Sag Harbor, NY) in a Section 11 B/C/D-5 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Southold will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
