The Discovery Canyon Thunder basketball team (Colorado Springs, CO), was overwhelmed 52-27 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Air Academy Kadets (US Air Force Academy, CO)

The Kadets now possess a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cheyenne Mountain for a 5A/4A Pikes Peak battle on Friday, January 20. Air Academy will confront a Red-Tailed Hawks team coming off a 47-38 league win over Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks record now stands at 7-7.

The Thunder (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Lutheran (Parker, CO). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, Lutheran trounced Resurrection Christian (Loveland, CO), 58-39, in a non-league battle.
