California High School Basketball - West Valley tops Yreka
January 18, 2023: Cottonwood, CA 96022 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) and the visiting Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA), saw West Valley's basketball squad knock off Yreka by a count of 48-39.
With the victory, West Valley upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host University Prep (Redding, CA) to play the Panthers in a challenge on Friday, January 20. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. University Prep won 41-34 in their recent league challenge against Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA)
Next up, the Miners play the Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 20. Yreka will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 40-31 league loss to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA).
