Minnesota High School Basketball - Laporte ripped by Kelliher/Northome
January 18, 2024: Northome, MN 56650 The Kelliher/Northome Mustangs basketball team scored 85 points and held the visiting Laporte Wildcats to 56 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Mustangs now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Woods for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Kelliher/Northome will meet a grizzlies team coming off a 88-76 league win over Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida (Cloquet, MN). The grizzlies record now stands at 10-3.
The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Michigan City (Michigan City, IN). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Michigan City was routed by South Bend Riley (South Bend, IN), 66-64, in a non-league contest.
