January 18, 2024: Washington, CT 06793 Frederick Gunn Highlanders (Washington, CT) fans left the game thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the visiting Taft School Big Red (Watertown, CT), 6-4 in a league match.
The Highlanders (10-8) will now prepare for their match against Austin Prep (Reading, MA). The Cougars enter the match with a 5-9 record.
Next up, the Big Red encounter the Canterbury School Saints (New Milford, CT) in a match, on Saturday, January 20. Taft School will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record. The Saints enter the match with a 10-6 record after their 6-5 league win over Westminster School (Simsbury, CT).
