The Southwestern Spartans defeated the visiting South Decatur Cougars basketball squad by a final score of 67-56 in Saturday's league outing.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Edinburgh Lancers (Edinburgh, IN) in a Mid-Hoosier outing, on Friday, January 24. Southwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Lancers enter the match with a 5-9 record after their 55-33 non-league win over Eminence (Eminence, IN).

The Cougars now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christian Academy of Madison for a non-league match on Thursday, January 23.
