Tennessee High School Basketball - Sequatchie County nudges Sale Creek

January 19, 2023: Dunlap, TN 37327

Sequatchie County Indians (Dunlap, TN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sale Creek Panthers (Sale Creek, TN), 64-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sequatchie County upgrades its record to 4-12 on the season. The Indians host Jackson County (Gainesboro, TN) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 2A District 5 bout on Friday, January 20. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 12-6.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) in a 1A District 5 bout, on Saturday, January 21. Sale Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 66-60 non-league loss to Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC).
