December 6, 2022: Dunlap, TN 37327 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Van Buren County Eagles (Spencer, TN) and the host Sequatchie County Indians (Dunlap, TN), saw Van Buren County's basketball squad hold off Sequatchie County by a tally of 51-48.
With the victory, Van Buren County improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Red Boiling Springs (Red Boiling Springs, TN) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 8. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Red Boiling Springs lost 53-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Trousdale County (Hartsville, TN)
Next up, the Indians confront the Bledsoe County Warriors (Pikeville, TN) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Friday, December 9. Sequatchie County will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 72-66 non-league win over South Pittsburg (South Pittsburg, TN).
