The Hickory Hornets basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Sharpsville Blue Devils to 40 in the Hornets non-league victory on Thursday.

The Hornets now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Slippery Rock for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30.

The Blue Devils (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Butler (Butler, PA). The Golden Tornado come into the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Butler edged Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA), 65-61, in a league contest.
