Ohio High School Basketball - Maplewood knocked off by Mathews

The Mathews Mustangs basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Maplewood Rockets to 25 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chalker for a Northeastern contest on Monday, January 23. Mathews will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 54-39 league win over Bristol (Bristolville, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-5.

The Rockets (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Badger (Kinsman, OH). The Braves enter the Northeastern contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Badger ran past Heartland Christian (Columbiana, OH), 48-13, in a non-league contest.
