Kansas High School Basketball - Sterling knocked off by Smoky Valley
January 19, 2023: Sterling, KS 67579 The Smoky Valley Vikings basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Sterling Black Bears to 43 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kingman for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Smoky Valley will battle a Eagles team coming off a 53-27 non-league win over Trinity (Hutchinson, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 4-8.
The Black Bears (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Trinity (Hutchinson, KS). The Celtics enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Trinity was defeated by Kingman (Kingman, KS), 53-27, in a non-league contest.
