January 19, 2024: Pinson, AL 35126 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Clay-Chalkville Cougars (Pinson, AL) and the visiting Center Point Eagles (Birmingham, AL), saw Clay-Chalkville's basketball squad wallop Center Point by a tally of 74-36.
With the victory, Clay-Chalkville improves its record to 18-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL) to confront the Indians in a 6A Area 12 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 15-9.
Next up, the Eagles confront the Huffman Vikings (Birmingham, AL) in a 6A Area 11 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Center Point will attempt to improve on its 0-20 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 10-13 record after their 90-73 non-league loss to Gardendale (Gardendale, AL).
