In Friday's non-league outing, the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), by a margin of 77-66.

The Eagles (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons go into the 2A Foothills outing with a 1-12 record. In their last outing, Forbush was topped by North Wilkes (Hays, NC), 62-48, in a league outing.
