Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA), 63-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Neville upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Franklin Parish (Winnsboro, LA) to play the Patriots in a 4A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 17-9. Franklin Parish lost 57-44 in their recent non-league bout against Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Rapides Mustangs (Lecompte, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 14-9 record after their 68-13 league win over Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, LA).
