Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA), 72-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Tioga upgrades its record to 19-14 on the campaign. The Indians host St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 24-5. St. Thomas More won 68-49 in their recent league bout against David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Montgomery Tigers (Montgomery, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 5-22 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 9-13 record after their 54-47 league win over Logansport (Logansport, LA).
