St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), 79-56 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Joseph-Ogden upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to St. Anthony (Effingham, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 18-4. St. Anthony won 70-47 in their recent league bout against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL)

Next up, the Grey Ghosts clash with the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record.
