Kansas High School Basketball - Southwestern Heights can't hold off Wichita County

The Wichita County Indians basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Southwestern Heights Mustangs to 50 in the Indians non-league victory on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cheylin for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Wichita County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 60-44 non-league win over Hi-Plains (Seibert, CO). The Cougars record now stands at 8-3.

The Mustangs (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Deerfield (Deerfield, KS). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Deerfield was nudged by Elkhart (Elkhart, KS), 48-44, in a non-league contest.
