The Southwestern Heights Mustangs basketball team (Kismet, KS), was overwhelmed 82-59 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Lakin Broncs (Lakin, KS)

The Broncs now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cimarron for a non-league battle on Friday, February 2. Lakin will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 56-53 non-league loss to Sublette (Sublette, KS). The Bluejays record now stands at 3-11.

The Mustangs (1-12) will now prepare for their battle against Stanton County (Johnson, KS). The Trojans come into the Hi-Plains battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Stanton County trounced Elkhart (Elkhart, KS), 68-53, in a non-league battle.
