January 19, 2024: Ankeny, IA 50021 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southeast Polk Rams (Pleasant Hill, IA) and the host Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA), saw Southeast Polk's basketball squad wallop Ankeny by a tally of 55-29.
With the victory, Southeast Polk improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Urbandale (Urbandale, IA) to play the J-Hawks in a Central Iowa Metro - Central challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The J-Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Urbandale lost 60-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Valley (Elgin, IA)
Next up, the Hawks play the Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) in a Central Iowa Metro - Central challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Ankeny will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Maroons come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 43-31 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, IA).
