South Carolina High School Basketball - Cheraw can't hold off York Prep

January 19, 2024: Rock Hill, SC 29730

The York Prep Patriots basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Cheraw Braves to 45 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Central for a AA Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 23. York Prep will battle a Knights team coming off a 58-22 league loss to Central (Pageland, SC). The Knights record now stands at 0-11.

The Braves (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Legion Collegiate Academy nudged 1 of 1 Academy Red (Indian Trail, NC), 64-47, in a non-league contest.
