January 19, 2024: Durham, CT 06422 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT) and the host Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT), saw North Branford's basketball squad wallop Coginchaug Regional by a count of 63-42.
With the victory, North Branford upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Portland (Portland, CT) to play the Highlanders in a Shoreline challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 1-10. Portland lost 72-22 in their recent league challenge against East Hampton (East Hampton, CT)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars (Higganum, CT) in a Shoreline challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Coginchaug Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 59-25 league win over Westbrook (Westbrook, CT).
