Michigan High School Basketball - Dakota nips Port Huron
January 19, 2024: Macomb, MI 48044 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) and the visiting Port Huron Red Hawks (Port Huron, MI), saw Dakota's basketball squad hold off Port Huron by a tally of 42-37.
With the victory, Dakota improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI) to play the Eagles in a Macomb Area - Red challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Utica Eisenhower lost 60-51 in their recent league challenge against Grosse Pointe South (Grosse Pointe, MI)
Next up, the Red Hawks play the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders (Macomb, MI) in a Macomb Area - Red challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Port Huron will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record.
