Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) and the host Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI), saw Dakota's basketball squad hold off Anchor Bay by a tally of 47-45.

With the victory, Dakota improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI) to confront the Big Reds in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. The Big Reds come into the challenge with a record of 15-9. Chippewa Valley won 63-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Utica (Utica, MI)
