January 2, 2024: Larned, KS 67550 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ellsworth Bearcats (Ellsworth, KS) and the host Larned Indians (Larned, KS), saw Ellsworth's basketball squad wallop Larned by a tally of 63-24.
With the victory, Ellsworth improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Republic County (Belleville, KS) to confront the Buffaloes in a North Central AA challenge on Friday, January 5. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Republic County lost 66-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Concordia (Concordia, KS)
Next up, the Indians confront the Skyline Thunderbirds (Pratt, KS) in a non-league outing, on Friday, January 5. Larned will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 66-65 non-league win over Lyons (Lyons, KS).
