January 2, 2024: Kemp, TX 75143 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX) and the host Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX), saw Mildred's basketball squad overcome Kemp by a tally of 69-52.
With the victory, Mildred improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX) to confront the Lions in a 3A Region III District 18 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Blooming Grove won 60-51 in their recent league battle against Malakoff (Malakoff, TX)
The Yellowjackets (4-17) will now prepare for their battle against Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region III District 18 battle with a 11-4 record. In their last battle, Scurry-Rosser dropped by Palmer (Palmer, TX), 45-42, in a league battle.
