January 2, 2024: Beattyville, KY 41311 Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lee County Bobcats (Beattyville, KY), 72-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Model upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Patriots host Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Paul Laurence Dunbar lost 58-48 in their recent non-league bout against Madison Central (Richmond, KY)
Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) in a District 56 bout, on Friday, January 5. Lee County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Engineers go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 67-66 non-league loss to Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY).
