Washington High School Basketball - Wapato overwhelms Naches Valley
January 2, 2024: Wapato, WA 98951 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Wapato Wolves (Wapato, WA) and the visiting Naches Valley Rangers (Naches, WA), saw Wapato's basketball squad wallop Naches Valley by a count of 84-62.
With the victory, Wapato upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to La Salle (Union Gap, WA) to play the Lightning in a 1A South Central - West challenge on Friday, January 5. The Lightning come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. La Salle lost 85-71 in their recent league challenge against Zillah (Zillah, WA)
Next up, the Rangers play the Toppenish Wildcats (Toppenish, WA) in a 1A South Central - West challenge, on Friday, January 5. Naches Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 70-48 non-league loss to Wahluke (Mattawa, WA).
