Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX), 66-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Rio Hondo upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Bobcats travel to IDEA Frontier College Prep (Brownsville, TX) to play the in a 3A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, January 5. The go into the bout with a record of 0-6. IDEA Frontier College Prep lost 50-19 in their recent league bout against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, TX)

Next up, the Red Ants play the IDEA Frontier College Prep (Brownsville, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Progreso will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record.
