The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE) and the visiting South Platte Blue Knights (Big Springs, NE), observed Wallace's basketball team overcome South Platte by a score of 45-36.

The Wildcats (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Medicine Valley (Curtis, NE). The Raiders come into the D2 District 8 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Medicine Valley dropped by Alma (Alma, NE), 53-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Knights battle the Kimball Longhorns (Kimball, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. South Platte will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record.
