January 2, 2025: Fort Dodge, IA 50501 The South Hamilton Hawks basketball squad (Jewell, IA), lost 35-26 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA)
With the victory, St. Edmond advances its record to 2-5 on the year. The Gaels travel to Humboldt (Humboldt, IA) to meet the Wildcats in a North Central battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 4-4. Humboldt won 58-47 in their recent non-league battle against Mason City (Mason City, IA)
The Hawks now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prairie City-Monroe for a Heart of Iowa battle on Friday, January 3. South Hamilton will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 60-23 league win over Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-1.
