January 2, 2025: Max Meadows, VA 24360 Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA), 41-32 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Auburn advances its record to 4-3 on the year. The Eagles host Grayson County (Independence, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Grayson County lost 43-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Alleghany (Sparta, NC)
In their next game, the Pioneers encounter the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Fort Chiswell will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Maroons come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 44-25 non-league win over Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA).
