Michigan High School Basketball - Annapolis holds off Melvindale
January 20, 2023: Melvindale, MI 48122 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Annapolis Cougars (Dearborn Heights, MI) and the host Melvindale Cardinals (Melvindale, MI), saw Annapolis's basketball squad hold off Melvindale by a tally of 60-57.
With the victory, Annapolis improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Romulus (Romulus, MI) to confront the Eagles in a Western Wayne challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Romulus lost 79-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Saginaw (Saginaw, MI)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Redford Union Panthers (Redford, MI) in a Western Wayne challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Melvindale will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 72-69 league win over Romulus (Romulus, MI).
