Virginia High School Basketball - Armstrong ripped by Varina
January 20, 2023: Richmond, VA 23231 The Varina Blue Devils basketball team scored 84 points and held the visiting Armstrong Wildcats to 38 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Friday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hanover for a Capital contest on Tuesday, January 24. Varina will meet a Hawks team coming off a 60-42 league win over Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 9-7.
The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA). The enter the non-league contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Maggie Walker was routed by Hermitage (Richmond, VA), 60-34, in a league contest.
