South Dakota High School Basketball - Beresford crushes Canton
January 20, 2023: Beresford, SD 57004 Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Canton C-Hawks (Canton, SD), 80-45 in a league bout.
With the victory, Beresford upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Watchdogs host Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Irene/Wakonda won 45-39 in their recent league bout against Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD)
Next up, the C-Hawks play the Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Canton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 73-52 non-league loss to Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD).
