The Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Sudan Hornets (Sudan, TX), 116-27 in Friday's league contest.

The Whirlwinds now sport a 24-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Deal for a 2A Region I District 4 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Floydada will battle a Lions team coming off a 77-50 league win over Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Lions record now stands at 17-6.

The Hornets (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Ralls (Ralls, TX). The Jackrabbits enter the 2A Region I District 4 contest with a 3-18 record.
