Ohio High School Basketball - Grand Valley holds off Independence
January 20, 2023: Independence, OH 44131 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) and the host Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH), saw Grand Valley's basketball squad hold off Independence by a tally of 74-68.
With the victory, Grand Valley improves its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH) to confront the Lakers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 11-2. Pymatuning Valley won 63-27 in their recent league challenge against Mathews (Vienna, OH)
Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Fairview Warriors (Fairview Park, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Independence will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 62-55 league loss to Bay (Bay Village, OH).
