Brooklyn Hurricanes (Brooklyn, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH), 62-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Brooklyn upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Clearview (Lorain, OH) to play the Clippers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Clippers come into the bout with a record of 9-9. Clearview won 77-73 in their recent league bout against Black River (Sullivan, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Cleveland Central Catholic Ironmen (Cleveland, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record.
