Lutheran West Longhorns (Rocky River, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH), 86-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Lutheran West upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Longhorns host Holy Name (Parma Heights, OH) to play the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 15. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Holy Name won 68-50 in their recent league bout against North Olmsted (North Olmsted, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Berkshire Badgers (Burton, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Badgers go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 56-53 non-league loss to Garfield (Garrettsville, OH).
