South Carolina High School Basketball - James Island fells Hilton Head Island

James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hilton Head Island Seahawks (Hilton Head Island, SC), 62-45 in a league bout.

With the win, James Island upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Trojans host Colleton County (Walterboro, SC) to play the Cougars in a AAAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Colleton County lost 70-60 in their recent league bout against Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC)

Next up, the Seahawks play the Bluffton Bobcats (Bluffton, SC) in a AAAA Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Hilton Head Island will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 48-35 league loss to May River (Bluffton, SC).
